Blank Pages in Google Chrome

Are you getting blank pages in Google Chrome for certain websites?  First step is to clear your browser cache, disable extensions, and try opening chrome in “icognito mode” (CTRL+Shift+N and click on Chrome Browser).  If these initial troubleshooting steps fail to work, it may be due to some user profile corruption.  This can be resolved with the following steps below (You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling, but may not always clear these files):

  • Shut down Chrome.
  • Check your hidden systray icons to see if there’s another running.  There often is.  Right click and shut it down, too.
  • Next, go into this folder:
    C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Storage
  • Delete everything in there.  If you feel nervous about deleting the contents, move them to a different folder instead.
  • Start Chrome up.

Happy Browsing!
